Do This Everyday To Prevent Gallstones

With Gallstones, there are no visible symptoms to detect at an early stage and when it becomes severe, there are only a few treatments for it. There are a "wait and see" approach, non surgical removal of the stones or surgical removal of the gallbladder. There are no guarantee in developing gallstones but there are always ways to prevent it.

1) Don't skip meals

This is common mistake done by many people and little did we know that by skipping meals, we are actually allowing bile to build up in our gallbladder which can harden and form gallstones. Have small meals throughout the day. Allow yourself to have a few sandwiches and fruits!

2) Maintain a healthy diet

A person with an excessive weight gain will have higher risk of developing gallstones. An abundance of high-fat foods can trigger narrowing and squeezing of the gall bladder. Start by having a well-balance diet that is rich in fiber such as fresh fruits, vegetables, lean meats and low fat diary products can serve as a presentative foods for the disease.

3) Exercise a bit everyday

When you exercise for a little as 45 minutes a day can reduce your risk of developing gallstones. Endurance exercises for 30 minutes, five times a week can prevent the formation of gallstones. Small steps goes a long way!

4) Drink your coffee today

A study was conducted at John Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland and found out that caffeine would stop in vivo gallbladder absorption and prevent formation of cholesterol gallstones. One cup of coffee a day can decrease the risk of gallstone disease. So keep calm and drink coffee, but remember to take it moderately too!
